Our lovely bride wanted white, white, white, and bling, bling, bling. The manzanita tree in the center provided the perfect centerpiece to compliment the surrounding decor. The desserts were elegant with a touch of whimsy (rice Krispies on a stick?! Oh ya!). The 200 guests devoured this table in about 5 minutes flat. Literally. Everything was that good!

I had the privilege of styling this gorgeous table at the beautiful Hummingbird Nest Ranch.

Here are a few shots of our set up prior to the guests arrival.

And then the delectable treats were added at sunset.

 The maid of honor made these little darling mini cheesecakes especially for the bride.

All of this equals one super fabulously personal dessert station.

Each year, they host a garden party–complete with tiny tea sandwiches and women wearing sun dresses and big hats.  

YEP, GARDEN PARTIES DO EXIST GIRLS!!

The tour allows the public to view 5 private gardens in the L.A. area.  Last year was Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner’s place.  This year we got to see the home of the former golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston as well as….wait for it….the notorious Playboy mansion (and yes, it looks like it does on T.V. except that its more run down and in desperate need of an makeover.  I was kind of grossed out–not gonna lie).

Now, onto some of my favorite inspirational images from the day.

First up, is this dreamy romantic master bedroom, complete with a branch-y canopy.  Its filled with cream, white, and peach roses with some green foliage to make it look lush and full.  And yes, it’s laying on a carpet of green grass.  The bedding is soft, plush and inviting.  Everything a bed should be!!

Next is the BATHROOM.  Yep, they filled a vintage clawfoot bathtub and used it as a planter!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this in my outdoor garden!

 And finally, is some DINING ROOM fabulousness.

Moss was all over this table.  It was even used as the place setting charger!

 I love the ticking stripe tablecloth complimented by the floral napkins!

THIS bride was no exception.  As she came down the stairs, ready to marry her best friend, she was gorgeous, stunning, glowing–looking relaxed and as confident as ever.  The girl was practically gliding. And she wore cowboy boots under her dress!  No easy task!

Meet Karissa & Jesse.  Family friends of mine, they entrusted me to help them with their special day.

 Married on her parent’s ranch in the beautiful Santa Rosa Valley, CA, her theme of “Country Chic” was perfect for the venue.

 Filled with fun little details like this vintage sign, layered burlap and hand painted initials.

What I absolutely LOVE about this couple is their passion for cooking and baking together.  A cookie bar is sooo THEM.  I can’t stress that enough in weddings.  When planning your wedding, just be YOU!  

The bride has simple, not-one-bit-fussy, elegant taste.  Her chosen colors are cream and blush.  Doesn’t the sound of those colors just make you want to float away on some kind of summery marshmallow-y cloud?!  Hmm…maybe that’s just me.

Anywhoo, here’s the inspiration board I came up with.

Perhaps this will inspire you to make cookies tomorrow.  

Perhaps this will inspire you to wear those white jeans with a pretty blush blouse with a string of pearls and cute wedge heels.

Now, I’m going to go have some cake.  You probably should to.  Hehe.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of being a featured creative at the Los Angeles Chapter of Creative Connection (CCLA).  What is CCLA?  It’s a social connecting point for creative women.  We gather once a month with other creative business owners to meet-up, get to know each other, and build relationships.  Its all about the support.  And as a momtrepreneur, I need all the support I can get!!!

These women have been there when I have needed an extra hand, friendly advice, or just wanted to sit and chat (away from the messiness that is when raising a teething toddler).  Most especially Desiree of Desiree Russo Weddings and Emilee of Tasteful Tatters (who is also head of the CCLA chapter) who have absolutely blown me away with their talent and their encouragement.  So, Saturday was extra fun because we were all featured creatives together, along with the lovely featured photographer, Deniz of ShutterDee Photography who was kind enough to share photos of the event.

In honor of the gorgeousness that is Spring, I was thinking that I want to throw a party.  For no reason other than just to gather good friends and great food in a beautiful and inviting setting.

Here’s my inspiration:

I want to wear that blue-green dress with the amazing coral necklace and earrings.

I want to wear those cute little white sandals (because I never wear heals!).

I want everyone’s drink to have a paper straw with a flag with their name on it. 

I want to serve Farmer’s Market organic fruit, scrumptious grilled veggies, soft gourmet cheeses, and freshly baked bread.

I want the centerpieces to look effortless as if I just tossed some flowers in the old wood crates that are sitting in my garage.

I want to make decadent old fashioned hand pies in flavors like apple caramel and blueberry cream.

I want each place setting to have a freshly cut garden rose on it.

So, what do you think?  Would you want to come to a party like this?

We love this site.  They feature beautiful and inspirational photos, done by fantastic professionals and DIYers alike.  Its like crack for brides, wedding professionals, and the wedding-obsessed.

We were fortunate enough to be a part of this beautiful Palm Springs inspired bridal shower back in February.  When Jill of Jordan Event Studio gave us a peek at their inspiration board for the shoot, I jumped at the chance to be a part of it.  I thought her design was fresh, clean, modern, and elegant.  Perfect for the modern bride!!!

We styled this dessert table with various types of candy in a vibrant orange color with little pops of gold.  Bold colors with a touch of metallic rocks our world. We also included vanilla cupcakes with orange buttercream, mini lemon bundt cakes, and tangerine mimosas to keep the guests coming back for more.  And they did!

I like to call this the Mini Bundt Terrarium
